Blast From The Past: Dodge Brings Back Plum Crazy

August 27th, 2015 by

For the upcoming 2016 Challenger and Charger models, Dodge just announced they will be offering the famous 1970 Plum Crazy again. During the muscle- car psychedelic era, Dodge models were known for their crazy paint schemes, with Plum Crazy being the most iconic.

In 2006, Dodge re-visited the past by reintroducing the Plum Crazy, but was only available on specific models and trims. Buyers can now get the Plum Crazy for the Challenger in models including Challenger SXT Plus, Challenger R/T, R/T Plus, R/T Classic, R/T Shaker and R/T Plus Shaker, Challenger R/T Scat Pack, 392 HEMI Scat Pack Shaker and SRT 392; and Challenger SRT Hellcat.

The available Plum Crazy Charger lineup includes the Charger SXT (20 in. wheels) with options of either 292 or 300-hp 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6, Charger R/T and R/T Road & Track, Charger R/T Scat Pack and SRT 392, and the Charger SRT Hellcat.

This September, buyers will be able to place orders before building begins in November. Only eleven percent of cars that are built are painted with a limited edition color, allowing you to see why people go crazy over Plum Crazy!
